PILATES CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

If you’re new to Pilates, we recommend taking a few Private sessions before starting classes in order to familiarize yourself with the equipment and the Pilates method of exercise.

If you want to book our intermediate/advanced classes, you must have prior experience with the reformer and tower.

All Level Reformer/Tower - Our basic Reformer/Tower Class good for all levels. The focus is on correct movement and proper biomechanics with both Classical and Contemporary Pilates. Both the Reformer and Tower will be used and sometimes other fun props. You must be injury free and not pregnant to take this class.

Advanced Reformer/Tower - You must have prior Pilates experience using the Reformer to take this class. This class is taught with a strict focus on correct form and movement rhythm using the Reformer, Tower and various other props. Please be injury free/not pregnant to take this class.

Pilates Butt Camp Reformer/Tower - We recommend that you have prior Pilates experience using the Reformer to take this class. This is a high intensity class that focuses exclusively on the three gluteus muscles. Please be injury free and not pregnant to take this class. (This class is also available in live streaming).

Dancers Reformer/Tower - This class includes the classical Pilates choreography combined with contemporary progressions and variations while incorporating elements from classical ballet technique.Attention will be given to technique challenges that translate directly into dance class or a performance as well as assisting in injury prevention.The Pilates Reformer and Tower will be used as well as other various Pilates Props. Please be injury free and not pregnant to take this class.

Pilates for Text Necks - This class is specifically designed to teach a series of corrective Pilates exercises to improve posture and alignment which will in turn help relieve and reverse neck and shoulder pain. Areas of focus include stretching the pectoral muscles, upper traps and levator scapulae. The reformer, tower and other Pilates props will be used. Please be injury free and not pregnant to take this class.

Standing Reformer/Tower - Engaging the muscles of the feet and lower limps to strengthen the core provides immediate postural improvement in our daily lives. In this amazing class, variations of contemporary Pilates choreography will be done standing on the reformer and tower offering a perfect way to deeply work the leg and hip muscles, improve posture and balance and strengthen the core. All Level Classical Mat--This All-Level Mat Class teaches the dynamic classical choreography exercises created by Joseph Pilates that improves posture, coordination, balance, strength and  flexibility through proper biomechanics. Please be injury free and not pregnant to take this class.

EXO Chair Class - A variety of classical and contemporary exercises performed standing, sitting and lying down provides excellent functional and athletic training.  We recommend that you have some Pilates experience with at least the Reformer to take this class. Please be injury free and not pregnant to take this class.
